The locals recommend: Susanne og Bo Abelgren Ehlers
About Susanne og Bo Abelgren Ehlers
Owners of the brewery Svendborgsund Bryghus.
Susanne was born and raised on Langeland, Bo is from Skive, a city in Central Jutland.
They met in Copenhagen and decided to move closer to their parents after having their first son.
The choice wasn't that difficult: Central Jutland or beautiful South Funen? Of course, it was South Funen.
Today they live on Tåsinge.
Culinary experiences
If you have the opportunity to come to Svendborg and visit the Culinary Food Market, it is definitely worth experiencing. Almost all the local small businesses are gathered here along with others from out of town. You can get some unique products that you won't find in the supermarket. The market is also held around Christmas time, where you can find some extra delicious products for Christmas.
If you don't have the opportunity to visit Svendborg during the time of the markets, a trip to Langeland is recommended. Gaardhaven in Rudkøbing is definitely worth a visit. It's a café with high ceilings, an informal environment and delicious tapas menus.
Culture
We are very excited about the bar Kammerateriet's events on Frederiksø - they are without a doubt a highlight! There's always something cool happening both at Kammerateriet's own venue and in the neighbouring Rundbuehallen. Our expectations for The Beer Festival are naturally especially high.
Kammerateriet's calendar is a must to keep an eye on, because this place really knows how to create unforgettable experiences. And their beach bar is perfect on a summer's day, always buzzing with life.

Nature
We live on Tåsinge ourselves and we love going to the beach Skansen near Vindebyøre. It's not just beautiful and scenic; it's a perfect combination of natures tranquility and urban proximity. Here we can soak up the fantastic atmosphere and enjoy the best of both worlds. And it's right in our own backyard!

In Svendborg, there is not only access to, but almost seductive views of, Denmark's most beautiful archipelago.
The uniqueness of Svendborg
Svendborg is not just a provincial town; it's a razor-sharp mini city enveloped in a breathtaking natural scenery. The access is effortless, the culture is vibrant and the speciality shops provide a shopping experience out of the ordinary. And to top it all off, here in Svendborg we not only have access to, but almost seductive views of, Denmark's most beautiful archipelago - the South Funen Archipelago.
When we have guests visiting
Of course, we like to show off our own brewery. But beyond that, it's the archipelago that we love to show our guests. Like many others in Svendborg, we have a small boat with which we can take a trip to Skarø for an ice cream, or if we don't have much time, we sail to Vindebyøre, anchor and jump in the water, if the weather co-operates.
